Good Food and Wine Show

The Sydney Good Food and Wine Show returned from Friday 21 June – Sunday 23 June 2019, held at the ICC Darling Harbour. It is also held in Melbourne (May) and Brisbane and Perth (later this year).

Live Demos

At the Princess Cruises Theatre, you’ll find a huge stage and seats ready for you to watch some of our favourite local and interstate chefs to show us how to cook a thing or two. George Columbaris, Maggie Beer, Kylie Kwong and Matt Moran were there (to name a few).

Stalls

There’s a range of exhibitors showcasing drinks, food and equipment.

Drinks wise, the stall holders from Wine Regions and distilleries and breweries have their drinks on display for customers to try. Beers, wine, whisky, gin, liquors and more, it’s your chance to find some new things to buy!

Foods – from donuts, to pizza, cheeses, fairy floss, dried meats, yoghurts, ramen, Korean, pastas, Jams, chocolate and more, you can taste from every stall and there’s special offers if you want to buy more to take home.

There’s also products and equipment on display and for sale including knives, thermomixers and even the Dyson.

VIP

If you feel like having a day of luxury, buy yourself a VIP pass to the VIP lounge hosted by Margaret River Wines. It’s a great area where you can sit on comfy velvet lounges and view the live demos from there. Unlimited alcohol and a light lunch (schnitzel, beef meatball sandwich or mushroom risotto) and finish it off with a Maggie Beer Ice cream. The VIP area was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Staff are so nice and will even cloak your purchases for you.

Pop-up Restaurants

If you want a meal, Olio Kensington St, Butcher and Farmer as well as Meat and Wine Co were serving up more substantial meals.

Masterclasses

Why not learn a thing or two about your favourite drinks at the masterclasses or through wine tasting at the Cellar Door or Riedel Drinks Lab.

Other

There’s a Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer bus doing whisky tastings, Emperors Champagne Parlour doing Champagne masterclasses, knife skills lessons, and so much more.

If you’re in Brisbane and Perth, there’s events held later this year so grab a ticket, check out the website and make a list of your favourite things to see.
