When we saw the sign for Bunny Slope cafe as it was being set up, we thought it might be a pet store it a children’s shop and it was hard to guess. But in fact it’s a cute little cafe, named after the owners love of skiing.
It’s a small little spot with two tables indoor and little stools afresco.
The set up could be described as kitsch, with its little bunnies, mini chocolate wheel and it feels really quaint and cute.
The owners Joe and Fiona are very sweet and make you feel welcome.
The menu is short but has a few different toasties and Japanese style mini rolls and they’re all less than $10. We’re fans of Japanese Tamagoyaki so selected that option. It’s Japanese folded egg, which came with bacon and lettuce on a milk bun flavoured with Teriyaki sauce. Super tasty and a great little snack.
They have great coffee too; using Grace and Taylor. This is a roaster we have sampled before at their little shop in Newtown.
The cafe also makes some of their own homemade cookies, cheesecake and carrot cake.
