We visited Naked Brew many years ago, but decided to return since we heard it was a dog friendly cafe and we just got ourselves a little puppy and we’ve been on the hunt for places to take her.
We like that the cafe has an extensive menu with lots of unique and creative dishes, as well as some of your favoured classics.
They have some fresh & healthy meals, in particular their nourish bowls, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients, as well plenty of naughty options. There’s also Granola, French toast, porridge, Cheeseburgers, chicken burgers, BLAT’s, wraps or some really creative options that have a Japanese influence to them.
For a naughty option, we’d recommend the ‘crackling pork belly waffles’. A delightful plate of crispy pork belly sitting atop a fluffy yet crispy buttermilk waffles and streaky American wood smoked bacon, served with some refreshing Granny Smith apple & carrot slaw & drizzled with maple and a wasabi mayo. This was amazing!
One of the dishes that was their take on a classic was their “seven thirty hangover”. Their version of big Brekkie, each ingredient was carefully considered. Streaky wood-smoked American bacon, spicy Spanish chorizo sausage, poached eggs, potato hash, sautéed garlic & thyme mushrooms & organic sourdough.
Their brekkie bowls / nourish bowls are called “Buddha Bowls” here and they are some of the best we’ve had, since you can choose your own additions, and they are super generous on size. Each Buddha bowl has base of organic mixed quinoa, pickled carrots, edamame beans, sweet corn kernels, seasonal tomatoes, enoki mushrooms, sunflower seeds & mixed leaf. You can then choose two add ons, whether it be Smashed Avocado ~ Poached Egg ~ Falafel & Beet Hummus ~ Sautéed Mushrooms ~ Spicy Kimchi ~ Dashi Miso Soup. Then add a dressing ~ Lemon & Olive Oil ~ Lime & Cracked Pepper. If you want to add a protein, you can get ~ Crackling Pork Belly ~ Grilled Halloumi or ~ Grilled Chicken for a little extra cost. These were of a super generous size and absolutely satisfying.
We love that this cafe is doggie friendly, probably the best we’ve seen. So many customers had their dog with them, and for good reason – they have a dog menu! There’s doggie waffles and ice cream, gourmet dog biscuits, which we got. These were a specially formulated nutty biscuit, baked & covered in a decadent carob/yoghurt frosting. We also got our puppy a bowl of frothy Living Planet 100% natural goat milk puppy chino with an organic carob dusting & Love ‘em beef liver sprinkles. Our puppy loved this!
Drink wise they use campos for their coffee and in addition, there’s Tumeric lattes, organic tea, chai and immunity boosting squeezed juices shakes.
Service here was wonderful and they were all efficient and eager to please. We look forward to returning again with our puppy.
