Attention all chocolate lovers – do you want a one stop chocolate shop where you can learn, create, taste and take home? This is the place for you! The chocolate factory can be found in West Gosford in the central coast of NSW, just outside the Gosford city.
The factory has tours, a gourmet cafe, junior workshops and a retail store.
The chocolate factory hosts factory tours which run for approximately 30 minutes where you can learn about the chocolate making process and packaging, enabling you see a behind the scenes insight into how your delicious treats are made. We found that Amanda our tour guide to be sensational. She clearly had a passion for her job and we learnt a lot from her.
They also run kids classes or workshops where children can learn in small groups (only 8 per class) how to make chocolate, nougat and taste! They get to design their own treats and receive a medal at the end of the class. We had a try of the fondue machine ourselves, dipping the nougat into the machine for a sublime chocolate taste.
This immersive experience would be great for any age and perfect for a school excursion or holiday activity too.
Dine in their gourmet cafe for a meal or freshly made pastries and desserts, we had a chocolate cake as well as a chocolate eclair, topping it off with a hot chocolate of course.
Don’t leave without buying some chocolate for yourselves. They are well known for a range of confectionery, in particular nougat Lima’s (which we tried a lot of this delicious treat), Bon Bon fine chocolates and the Sydney Marshmallow co. We liked the coconut marshmallow, rocky road and especially the dusted almonds as our favourite, but there’s just so much to choose from.
Highly recommended if you’re in the area or a destination visit.
Thank you to everyone involved at the Chocolate Factory and Visit Central Coast for organising our visit.
