In my area of work in Bronte, there’s a great little strip of shops to grab coffee, food and juices. Always pumping with plenty of customers in their exercise gear and pooches for the daily walk. Newcomer to the area is Bowl’d out (renovated aesthetics and branding but serving similar food to the previous store Barenaked bowls).
The aesthetic is lovely, exposed brick walls, plant life and a huge artwork of Bronte beach adoring the left hand side wall.
Coffee wise, they use one of my favourites, St Dreux, but also have smoothies, tea and cold drinks too.
On my first visit I enjoyed a winter special of wam oats, honey, milk, agave, topped with strawberries, banana and blueberry, hemp seed (and dates, though I asked without). This dish was super delicious and a great gluten and dairy free option.
Most of the menu is different variations of açai bowls (though they do offer avo on toast, pre made wraps and soup). I’m not normally an açai fan but decided to give one a go. I’m glad I did because I absolutely loved it. I think the addition of other fruits with the açai made the flavour so nice. My choice was the Bronte Bowl ($16) where the base consisted of Acai, Strawberry, Banana and Apple Juice topped with Granola, Strawberry, Banana, Blueberries, Chia Seeds, Cacao Nibs and Honey. The bowl was also a super generous size which I struggled to finish, but of course I did because it was delicious.
There’s so many variations of the bowl, so why not head in and try for yourself.
