A new small suburban corner deli in Redfern serving up a small range of sandwiches made to order, as well as baked goods such as and lamingtons and Vegemite scrolls.
All is made in house, from the baked bread to pickling the pickles and they also sell goodies to go.
We tried the Kangaroo Saucisson sandwich, or really kind of a sub. A long fresh baguette with broadleaf rocket, pickled fennel, and maffra mature cheddar with the tasty saucisson (like a dry aged meat similar to salami).
The lamingtons were great. Nice soft sponge covered in dark chocolate and coconut with a light raspberry jam that wasn’t too much like some often can be. Made for the perfect version of a lamington.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate is also available. Coffee is brought to us by brand supreme.
