Chechos @ Penrith

Across the road from one of our favourite spots in Penrith Henri Marc, the new kid on the block chechos has opened serving up Mexican inspired dishes.

We were kindly greeted by the warm staff and seated. The interior was that of if you were in Mexico yourself, with light colours and cactus’ everywhere.

We chose to share a selection of dishes, potato bravas, corn ribs and fish tacos. The highlight of the visit was the fish tacos which were crisply batterered, yet succulent and soft when you bit into it. The sauces and accompanying parts to the dishes really made all the meals pop.

The food was also accompanied by a tequila old fashioned which was smoked with anise. An interesting take on the American classic.

Definitely worth a visit.
