We tried the Global Explorer Tasting Pack with three gins, all of unique flavours featuring botanicals from three different continents. This featured:
1x Gin Mare Mediterranean Gin, a gin distilled in a thirteenth-century chapel in a little fishing village in Barcelona. The gin has fragrant garden notes of basil, rosemary, thyme and olives, in addition to orange peels on the nose, bringing good reminders of the Mediterranean.
1 x Elephant London Dry Gin, featuring African botancials of Baobab fruit, Buchu plant, African Wormwood, Lion’s tail and Devil’s claw. This gin also has a social conscience, with 15% of profits going back to wildlife efforts for conservation in Africa. Fragrant on the notes, greens and citrus and floral notes with a touch of cinnamon to taste.
1 x Ki No Bi Kyoto Dry Gin which has distinct Japanese flavours of yuzu, hinoki, wood chips, bamboo, gyokuro tea, fragrant on the notes and citrus to taste.
