Tiny Giant is a suburban cafè in Petersham with a giant following. Tiny Giant had been on our hit list for a while as we had seen many of their awesome pics on Instagram of the fairy floss on brioche, waffles with figs and maple. As they say, a picture tells a thousand words. We already knew what we were wanting to order from the visual feast posted on instagram.
The brioche french toast was at the top of the list, it was beautifully presented; topped with fruit, edible flowers, and Pink Persian fairy floss!
The baked eggs with chorizo were the goods. An iron pan full of goodness; a rich tomato base with runny yolk for you egg freaks to get your yolk porn on. We also shared the eggs benedict with ham, you also had a choice of salmon if preferred. The Benny came with fresh spinach and 2 nicely poached eggs smothered in a nice creamy hollandaise. It was also beautifully presented.
Tiny Giant has many nice options and they take a lot of care with presentation. There were some amazing looking cronuts; red velvet, chocolate, waffle and the one we tried the salted caramel also ordered one topped with peanut butter and jelly, which can only be described as yummm! The salted caramel cronut had a buttery / icing cream in the middle and on top was an amazing caramel sauce and chocolate flakes with a plastic syringe for an added spectacle and extra sauce.
The cafe is small inside, about 5 tables, but there’s also tables outsides and blankets if you’re cold. The staff are lovely and the service quick. A great neighbourhood serving tasty food that us beautifully presented.
