Mizuya Karaoke Restaurant, in the CBD next to the Metro theatre. Head downstairs and you’ll find yourself at counter leading to a series of hallways full of different sized karaoke rooms. A booth style arrangement and large table in the centre order your food and drinks from the touch screen. Singing not your fortè, dont worry most people can’t sing and to help with that plenty of crazy drinks on offer.
There’s a huge variety of Japanese foods. The entrees have typical Japanese foods like edamame, agedashi tofu, gyoza and karage chicken. We got some lotus crisps which were really nicely seasoned and crunchy.
There’s heaps of nice dishes to choose from including; capacchio, sushi, sashimi, mains and even Japanese pizza. The sushi rolls are huge. The cruncy salmon roll, spider roll, volcano roll, will fire you up for a song. A sashimi entrée platter; fresh and beautifully presented. It will have you prepared to serenade your friends.
Plenty of fun drinks to go around, you can buy glasses of wine, bottles, beers (or even a huge beer tap). You can get highball whiskey or cocktails. The cocktail list included classic cocktails as well as specials. I selected the ‘Okinawa Island’ – A passionfruit, blue curaco, lemon juice, pineapple juice, vodka and grenadine drink with the flavours layered – sugary and delicious!! The mango danquiri, mojito, and they will give you some courage. Lots of sake and jugs on offer too.
Once you’ve eaten or even whilst you’re eating, pick some tunes and sing some karaoke. Lots to select from, two microphones and sing your heart out. It can get expensive, but worth ot for a fun night out, sing, drink and eat. Have a great timehttp://www.mizuya.com.au/
