We were suggested to visit here by our good friends at “The Origin Corner”. Located in Jannali on the opposite side of the train station, you will find this small café serving up quality coffee and super tasty food.
The house made blend uses Rueben Hills beans, but for the black based they use single origin and rotate between roasters.
They also do V60 and Aeropress. They also do a cold brew. I had an espresso Kolla Bolcha espresso from Agaro, Ethiopia, roasted in Melbourne. Teas are by Ovvio organics and they also do brewed masala chai.
The food menu has a range of delights like sweet toast, smashed avo, bircher and my favourite granola – a cacao granola with cardamom, coconut yoghurt, pickled pear and maple. It was super delicious.
They also do a range toasties using relishes from Cornermith. I also ordered a nourish bowl to go, since I was off to uni for the day and loved this! A plate of fermented brown rice, goats cheese, avo, pickles, cos saled, seeds and sprouts with a side of ham. They also have cakes and baked goods from brickfields. I’m certainly keen to go here and eat again.
It’s a comfortable and friendly environment and I love their long wood tables, beautiful ceramics and vase of cotton to spruce up the décor.
