Bonnie Coffee

Bonnie Coffee is a specialty coffee store hailing from Melbourne, but with an outlet in the Sydney CBD. The space is close to Wynyard station and inside and heritage building (from 1927 – Scots Presbyterian Church) and thus the fit out is in keeping with that. It is trendy, with its washed walls, brass light fittings and hanging apron and newspapers for the benefit of style. Apparently it looks even better during non Covid times, for there’s no seating at the moment.

Bonnie are only doing takeaway, which I don’t like, since I love a good cup of coffee with the art in the foam. So on this visit I ordered an espresso. They have options for the espresso; a single o and house blend. I chose the house blend “Mama’s Boy”, a strong hit to start the day. My friends loved the filter coffee too, and they also make a good mocha.

Their milk based coffee can be done with regular, soy, almond or lactose free. V60, filter, cold drip, matcha, chai and teas are also available.

This speciality coffee crew work with roasters from around the world, particularly in Indonesia.

Food wise, the front cabinet has some pastries, croissants, cookies and cakes if you’re keen for something to eat with your coffee.
