Lovely neighbourhood cafe in Bateau Bay, not far from the beach. Bright and open with beachside decor, friendly and vibrant staff who provide welcoming and efficient service.
The menu here is inspired and not like the run of the mill cafe menus you use these days. With the likes of a pork belly and potato hash, truffle scrambled eggs and a green smoothie bowl amongst many others.
We ordered the lovely and light, thin sweet potato flatbread, nicely seasoned hummus, topped, smashed avo, fetta and a poached eggs. It also has some pickled cabbage which combines well with the savoury flavours. It’s then finished off with sprinkles of dukkah (macadamia, sesame seeds in the mix). A wonderful dish!
We like the coffee by Synergy coffee, with its coffee / caramel notes to the flavour. They also do iced drinks, smoothies and milkshakes.
The front counter showcases some cookies, breads and in house made sausage rolls. In addition they sell their own granola and stock Frank Green Cups.
Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
