We always love a trip to the city, and even more, we love sitting by the waters edge admiring our beautiful harbour and the ferries going by.
You can get the best of Sydney’s view at Celsius Coffee Co. for it is located at the Kirribilli Ferry terminal and your tables provide you with the best view in the house no matter where you sit.
Whilst the cafe is small, they are certainly able to keep the food pumping out in an efficient manner and it’s ever so popular, with big lines of people ready to grab a spot by the water and a delicious brunch.
The menu is inventive and we’d certainly be happy to eat any of the dishes here. From a burrata and mushroom dish to the flaky salmon or the instagrammers favourite and menu mainstay, the signature waffles with berries, you’ll certainly find something to your fancy.
We enjoy ‘Billy’s Eggs’ or chilli-buttered eggs with braised tomatoes, onion jam, burnt butter and fresh mint on sourdough. The eggs were perfectly cooked and provided the impressive ooze when sliced through.
In addition, their legendary eggs Benedict are a wonderful take on this popular dish. The sourdough is served like a sandwich, filled with Togsrashi spiced lamb, and topped with two poached eggs and lavishly poured yuzu hollandaise citrus! What a dish, the savoury flavours combine so well.
Leaving our favourite to mention last, we tried one of their new dishes which has a sense of nostalgia to it since it brings back fond childhood memories of that much loved (but you were only occasionally allowed) bowl of coco pops! They’ve used the coco pops milk to make one of the best pannacotta’s we’ve eaten! Light, refreshing and with the perfect amount of wobble to it. It tasted just like a chocolate milkshake.. only creamy 😉 The pannacotta was beautifully presented with an excellent puffed rice granola and segments of watermelon and strawberries
Drinks wise, the cafe uses ONA for their bean and we love this, for it is one of our favourites. You may like ‘The Hitman’, our go to. It’s a full-bodied ‘comfort’ coffee with notes of caramel, malt and spices or ‘The Founder’, a creamy black forest blend with chocolate and red fruit flavours. If you’re not into coffee; there’s cold pressed juice, prana chai and tea by teacraft.
An impressive cafe in on fronts. Thoroughly recommend a visit! Thanks to Steven and the team for looking after us.
