Atomic Beer Project is what could be described as a micro brewery / brew pub meets gastronomic experience with a full scale brewery, bar and restaurant.
Located in Redfern on Regent St, not far from the main strip, you’ll find an expansive space in a warehouse style arrangement. As you enter you see the long bar and huge beer equipment in the rear.
Plenty of beers on tap from pale ale to XPA, IPA and more, we’re sure you’ll find your favourite in no time. You can also buy beers to takeaway. If beer isn’t your thing and you’re here to join a beer drinker, don’t worry there’s wine and gin too.
With an Asian inspired menu from ex-Longrain chef Jordan McLeod, you’ll also find some pretty decent food. The restaurant has table service, we enjoyed a variety of finger food including the turmeric pork and kaffir lime sausage rolls, flash-fried squid with pepper, salt and sambal mayo and atomic wings; chilli and sweet fish sauce crispy chicken wings (gf).
We absolutely loved their delicious pork belly bao with a teriyaki glaze, pickled carrot & ginger. This is a great type of food to accompany your beer drinking afternoon or evening.
There’s plenty of larger plates too if you’re after more substantial eats like the barbecued Bannockburn chicken with soy mirin glaze, Massaman or yellow curry, sashimi or short rib.
Seems to be also a daytime work space which is an interesting concept.
Make sure you add this to your want to visit list, for it’s a certainly enjoyable in every way.
