We are grateful to have been involved in a superb foodie experience, held by The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries of Malaysia (MAFI), in partnership with the Masters of Malaysian Cuisine (MOMC). As part of this, there was a cooking demonstration led by renowned chef and founder of Masters of Malaysian Cuisine, Jackie M., to promote Malaysian Heritage Cuisine using Malaysian ingredients.
Jackie’s demonstration was showcasing the best of Malaysian food such as her famous Seremban Ngau Lam Fun (Beef Brisket Noodles) which she cooked live.
We also tried Malaysian fruits such as pineapple, jackfruit and durian and some less familiar Malaysian food products. This was a great way to promote the diversity of Malaysian ingredients for cooking and eating.
This was followed up with a Malaysian dinner buffet style, featuring an array of curries, vegetarian and protein dishes, curry puffs, pickled vegetables and in particular an amazing eggplant curry. A great way to try some delicious Malaysian food.
Overall it was a great experience and we are grateful to attend.
