Rekodo @ Barangaroo House

New to Barangaroo House is Rekodo Restaurant and Vinyl Bar.

‘Rekodo’ is Japanese for ‘record’ and this venue is celebrating music and Japanese cuisine, the restaurant has a DJ mixing up the tunes while you dine.

Food is brought to us by Head Chef and vinyl-lover, Patrick McDermott, and the menu has a range of Japanese inspired dishes, and everything we ordered was superb.

We began with the whisky cured Ocean Trout | with Mandarin + Tobiko as well as the squid with chilli sauce and sesame.

Standout of the night was the incredible 200g Wagyu Karubi Steak with Korean chilli + pickles, cooked to perfection. It was like butter, melting in your mouth.

The Agedashi was also great, served like little pot stickers. A little expensive, but we do recommend dining here, for it is super delicious.

Note – why not enjoy a drink downstairs in Smoke bar before you dine. They have a pretty good espresso martini.
