Happy Alley has opened a bright new store in Rockdale. The new store has opened on Bay Street and it is huge. Walk in and join the big line, but it moves fairly fast.
You’ll stroll by the topped Foccacia as with pepperoni, ricotta or other mouthwatering topics, then onto the patisserie goods; almond croissant and cakes before you see the counter showcasing the cookie offerings.
These decadent cookies that ooze chocolate from the centre when you break them apart are great for a treat, and you can get them with a good dose of soft serve.
And then, when they’re ready to take your order, don’t forget to order a freshly made sandwich. These are the real deal; huge sandwiches filled with deli meats, crispy chicken, parmigiana melts or even vego. We got their deli sandwich, which is like one you’ll find in NYC; there’s smoked beef, turkey, salami, lettuce, American cheese, relish jam and mayonnaise on soft white bread. It is stacked high and oh so good!
In addition to the sandwiches, you can also try bagels, Lebanese Ka’ak, jaffles and even great yourself some memorabilia to take home. Also, don’t forget to grab and coffee and the cookie shakes sound worth returning for.
The staff were lovely, coffee was made fast and the whole place was really casting a good vibe and certainly already very popular. Really a joyous place to visit.
