There’s a new outlet opened by the people of Self Raised Bread Carlton in North Bexley – Self Raised Shoppe in the Woolworths precinct.

It’s everything you love about Self-Raised Bread, just on a smaller scale – open on the street frontage (or carpark) for ordering and they’ll bring your order to the window.

The bakery is selling the delicious New York style stacked sandwiches, egg and cheese milk buns in the morning and Foccacia, pizza slices, as well as some pastries like almond croissants, and cakes and donuts.

We had the Hoagie at Carlton and their HOAGIE – 2.0 at Bexley. Featuring mortadella, veal ham, iceberg lettuce, marinated tomato, swiss cheese salad, onion and pickled pecoroncino on a delicious ciabatta. This fully stacked sandwich is seasoned with a yummy sauce and is so good.

You can also get coffee, made using Reformatory Lab coffee. It’s more of a takeaway venue, not dine in, though there are a few stools and tables out front.
