London is known for its bakeries and patisseries, so much so, there’s practically one in every second shop, we couldn’t quite keep up. But, when a bakery has lines stretching around the corner, you know it must be especially good and that you’re in for a treat!

Fortitude Bakehouse, spotted by its navy exterior down the cobbled lanes not far from the British Museum is known for its beignets. The Cream-filled dough buns (and varieties too) certainly look impressive and taste it too. A light pillowy dough, filled with fresh fluffy cream and raspberry is one of the best baked goods you’ll try.

They do have other things like cakes and sandwiches, but you must try their beignets.

Note, get there early if you want your pick of the daily offerings. Beignets are available from 11am.
