The Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park is hosting this BBQ BALEOUT, this weekend, 3-4 November. It has been transformed into a homestead with plenty of stalls to occupy guests. The Barbecue Alliance are not only cooking up some amazing smoked meats, they are doing it for a good cause.
This is a collaboration between Black Bear BBQ and The BBQ Alliance to raise money for our farmers and rural communities across Australia, doing it tough this year. Whilst we love a good deal of sun to invoke those rays for a bit of a tan. As you head to the beach, spare a thought for the farmers, whose crops and livestock suffer with a lack of rain causing drought, severely impacting the livelihood of our nation’s farmers.
There is plenty of live entertainment for all ages; there is music, a petting zoo, jumping castle and more. Music performed by Volky, Taya Chani Trio, Sweet Jelly Rolls and CK & the 45s.
It is a carnivore’s heaven, with the likes of Parilla Argenchino and BlackBear BBQ doing what they do best, cooking meat! There is plenty of quality BBQ meat on offer. American style, low and slow smoked meats from Black Bear BBQ were mouthwateringly good. Try their beef brisket, pork belly, wings, beef ribs and more.
The hot weather was also conducive to a few beverages, the beer supplied by Six String Brewing Co.
Be entertained by the 2018 Kingsford Invitational BBQ Competition – the richest BBQ competition in Australia with $40,000 in cash, prizes and trophies. Stop by the Kingsford Charcoal pop up, grab some BBQ supplies and have a crack yourself. Sunday is The state vs. state butchery challenge with butchers Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria battling it out for bragging rights.

While enjoying a great day out and all that is on offer, spare a thought for the farmers and donate a bit of coin to the Bale charity bucket. A little support can make the world of difference.
