Newly opened Bondi Fin cafe at Bondi Beach are doing awesome Korean cafe fusion. Fin cafe has a relaxed vibe, they roast their own coffee and have bunch of great menu items to chose from.
They have your regular favourites like avo on toast or eggs on toast and use brick fields bread. You can have a variety of sides like marinated feta or even kim chi.
Some super interesting dishes too such as the wild mushrooms on toast, but with currants, cauliflower purée, almond dukkah and dine herbs or truffled eggs with manchego or the Korean Rueben benny.
We went with the vibrant and healthy Californian Bibimbap – with sautéed carrots, bean sprouts, kimchi, eggplant, korean spinach, pickled radish, avo, slaw, mixed grains, fried free range egg, cabbage and beef bulgogi with house gochujang (a Korean chili pasts)
We also liked the poached chicken salad, served with roasted butternut squash, radicchio, mixed grain and mixed mesclun, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts, fried eschalots, fresh chilli, roasted sesame ginger dressing. A lovely salad with a good kick to it.
This is a modern Australian cafe with Korean fusion and we like it a lot. We hope to revisit and try more of the menu.
Only a small place but they roast their own beans and do a good coffee. Brewed teas, juices and shakes too.
The decor is beachy and vibrant and we like the addition of blankets in case you get cold.
Pay it a visit if in the area.
