Being a Camden local in my early years, until about 20 years of age when I moved out for university, I do have a fond connection to the area. I love the country vibe, the friendly locals and especially the long history of the town.
Situated at the bottom of the Razorback mountains and less than 5 minutes from the town of Camden, the site is set on 5 hectares overlooking the plains and a place where you can relax and breathe in the fresh country air.
It is an all-encompassing site, featuring boutique accommodation, bars and dining spaces and also somewhere to host an event or celebration.
The new look Camden Valley inn is stunning. The venue is heritage listed, having been established in 1939 by the Macarthur family, originally selling cream and cheese. John Macarthur was one of the largest sheep farmers in the colony and the Macarthur family property isn’t far from this site. We love that the new fit out is in keeping with the historic nature of the town and the old school country charm.
There are family friendly spaces as well as great indoor and outdoor entertaining areas. There’s plenty of outdoor tables and sun umbrellas, perfect for any size group. There’s lounge areas, a pizza bar, coffee bar as well as private dining. Plenty of space for the kids to run around, as well as use the onsite park and petting zoo.
If you’re at the inn to eat, their menu has shared platters like anti-pasto, woodboards and a range of other small tapas. There’s meats on the grill, salads, pizzas, burgers and a range of mains which are perfect for a bistro like a guiness pie. Plenty for the kids as well as those with dietary needs.
The boutique accommodation is Tudor-style and has 40 suites, each with balconies. The site also has a pool, on-site parking and cobblestone pathways. We would describe it as serene, welcoming and comforting. An idyllic space to relax.
Come and check the new look site out!
