Brilliant latte art, coffee and food @ Zenius Cafe, Chippendale

We found this cafe via some of the baristas we follow and were inspired to visit from some Instagram photos that showcased some incredible latte art. Whilst at the cafe, the barista delivered a few different artworks in our coffees; a seahorse, a bee, a bunny and a monkey! They use deluca for their coffee bean. The cafe also does smoothies, juices and mocktails.

Food wise, the menu is extensive and contains plenty of unique dishes as well as your cafe favourites. From granola and acai bowls to avo on toast, as well as hotcakes and a mighty fine Rueben sandwich.

We thought they did a great job of the corn fritters and the miso pumpkin bowl was outstanding. Whilst it looked like a small green salad, the flavours worked together so well, with a beautiful miso that tasted like caramel.

The cafe is in a prime location in Chippendale on the corner of Abercrombie St and a Meagher st. On a weekend, parking is pretty easy. They’ve also got seats out the front and it’s puppy friendly – they even make puppy cinos!
