Three Blind Mice might be the name of a 17th century nursery rhyme, but we now associate it with a darn good providore of meats and cheese. This was just what Mascot needed, and it certainly has filled a gap in the market (now just please open one in Botany too).

The shop is located just off Botany Road beside the Westpac and you can easily find parking across the road in the council car park. We love the fit out, dark black and green walls, lined with all the products you could ask for. As you enter there’s shelves lined with loaves of bread, in front of you is a glass cabinet with meats and olives and to your left is shelves stocked with sauces, antipasto, quince paste, pasta, oils and more. Then, the piece de résistance, the cheese fridge. With multiple cheese offerings, there’s plenty to suit every cheese lover; Camembert to comte, blue cheese to Brie, and very niche choices too.

You can buy a piece or two (or a block) to take home, some to enjoy on a platter in store, or even buy one to create a hamper for a gift.

If you’re dining in, a couple of tables inside are available and you can order tasting plates of olives, breads, cheese and charcuterie. There’s also gourmet panini and some amazing toasties. We tried the five cheese blend on sourdough, with confit duck and scallion. This is an absolute winner. Cheese on the outside and in will have you salivating. These are a must order.

The coffee here is made using Genovese coffee house, a recent brand we tried and thoroughly like.

We have been told the liquor licence is on the way and also dining outside, so we are in anticipation for that and will certainly be back for a wine and charcuterie platter for sure.

We think the service is also A class, super friendly and we really felt welcome. Furthermore whoever makes the music list, give yourself a pat on the back – it’s unreal. Fits with the venue, not over dominating and even puts my baby to sleep every time.
