We made a visit to Wolli Creek to try out Chachii, a Brazilian restaurant that offers both brunch and dinner menus. We’ve known a few friends who’ve visited multiple times, so we were also keen to try it out.

A casual Brazilian restaurant with orange and red decor, plenty of space to dine and welcoming staff to greet us and seat us. We felt comfortable even with our 2 year old, who the waitress was very good with, ordering his food straight away. We loved that the nuggets and chips came with a cute smiley face.

Anyway, parents are here for the Brazilian food, the dinner menu, and there were lots of appealing options but we begin with entrees, taking the waitress’ recommendation for beef croquettes had a crispy outer coating and soft centre and the truffle Mayo was moreish.

Then it was the Casquinha de Siri, a nicely presented starter in a scallop half shell- it ate well with a good combination of crab meat, lime, dende oil. It certainly looked very pretty too.

For the mains, we shared two options. Firstly, the Peixada is a traditional Brazilian fish stew. The sauce was a vibrant yellow colour, made with coconut milk, tomatoes, peppers, onions, tomato, lime, dende oil, swimming with baby shrimp and topped with grilled prawns. They served it with rice and it was a sizeable portion too.

The it was their Pichanha, a nicely seasoned and well cooked steak, with rice, an absolutely delicious black beans and an egg with salsa.

The food at Chachi could be described as hearty food that is really tasty. They also have a good range of drinks including cocktails. We like liked the Kiwi caipirinha and thought it paired well with our food choices.

Service fast and friendly we think the restaurant is perfect for any sort of outing or occasion. Treat yourself to a meal and be inspired by the flavours and influence of Brazil.
