We’ve been out to Gregory Hills and visited El Patron before, we really enjoyed it for dinner and drinks and it certainly is a a party hot spot too, with plenty of amazing entertainment options. They have an extensive cocktail menu and food menu inspired by the authentic flavours of South America. Now, they’ve extended their offerings, to “Gustavo’s” with a brunch and lunch menu that both suits adults and children.

If you prefer an açai bowl or brekkie burger, yet your friends went a salad or tacos, don’t worry, you can get both since it’s all day dining!

My folks ordered the brekkie, one had the Bacon and Avocado Stack, which is a huge serving of a thick slice of sourdough with rocket, smashed avocado, truss tomatoes, tomato relish, bacon, feta and soft herbs. What a stunning dish and worked so well together.

We also had the Eggs Your way, poached to preference and perfection, and we added some sides of hash brown and bacon of course.

I was preferring lunch so I picked the beautiful lamb backstrap. The portion was incredibly generous, cooked medium and was the nicest serving of meat I’ve had in a while. It was served with a wedge of roasted pumpkin, beetroot labneh, and watercress salad. Whilst you’re there, you could grab a salad, bao or even tacos from the lunch menu.

There’s even kids options and my picky toddler really enjoyed his chicken tenders and chips. The seasoning was so tasty, and we can confirm it’s proper chicken, coated in a crispy layer and thoroughly enjoyed by us all!

You can get a great coffee; using beans by Arte, and served in the environmentally friendly huski cups. In addition, there’s really good juices – we went for a immunity booster and the little fella had a milkshake, and we loved that they did this in a great little cup perfect size for a kid.

The venue is stunning. The expansive restaurant has a large main bar, plenty of seats, private booths and luxe interiors. They’ve also got a covered outdoor area with lounge seating so it’s great to make use of that midday sun. The decor is a beautiful pale palette and the designers have certainly done a wonderful job.

We hope you make a visit to Gustavo’s and enjoy everything they have to offer.
