While in Melbourne, it was a must to visit Lune Croissanterie. With stores in Fitzroy, Armadale and the CBD (as well as in Brisbane), solely selling variations of croissants, it’s a favourite for pastry lovers.

You often read about the lines and lines of customers waiting on a daily basis. So, I ordered ahead, and then went to the Fitzroy store. There were no lines at all! The Fitzroy store also has an eat in section, open glass window and all croissants lined up for you to see what to order.

Famous for its perfectly layered croissants, in so many forms – whether it be pain au chocolate, plain, cheesy Vegemite scrolls and plenty of weekly specials.

Our pick of the bunch was the January special – A traditional croissant twice baked with honey frangipane and vanilla créme pâtissiére. Topped with honeyed almonds and a slice of fresh honeycomb!
