Bird & Ewe, founded by Andrea and Tim, have certainly evolved, having started as a market stall at the Carriageworks Farmers Market in Redfern, as well as having a permanent store in Surry Hills. Now, also serving at The Rocks George Street Food Gallery, there’s many ways to get your hands on some of these!

They serve fresh flatbreads with a great menu of toppings, that can also be made into salads if you prefer. Using ingredients sourced from local farmers and producers, you are getting a real farm to table style meal and you can certainly tell by the freshness of ingredients and delicious flatbread.

Our choices were the Southern fried chicken thigh, and the oven roasted eggplant with scrambled tofu (which we had as a salad bowl). Both have a fresh crunchy slaw and dressing.

Lennox had their ham and cheese toastie flatbread (or we ate half of it – yum!)

We also enjoyed some super tasty potatoes and fries with paprika salt and paired this with a wine and @yullisbrews beer.

There’s also coffee and juices if you’d prefer. Make your way to one of their stores and enjoy it for yourselves.
