Hands down best hotel in Sydney!
As soon as you enter into this beautiful unassuming sansdstone heritage listed building you can understand how this hotel brand has attained awards as best Hotel Brand in the World by Travel + Leisure readers around the world. In Sydney, it’s ranked number 3. We had the most luxurious stay.

The hotel has been designed by world-renowned architects and every part of the hotel has unique features – high ceilings, hanging moving lanterns and one of my favourite things is the beautiful curated art on every wall, so much even in our room, I loved it. We even got a little confused going to our room as the hallways reminded us of those mirrored wall games. We stayed in a Superior King room thanks to our booking by Apex Travel and then a very generous upgrade from the hotel

The furnishings throughout the hotel are sophisticated and luxurious and a very pleasing pale palette for the aesthetic.

The rooms are massive, with every mod con you need, inclusive of non-alcoholic drinks. There’s a coffee machine and teas by Australian Botanical Tea. There’s a huge bathroom with double sinks and large bath that has bath salts ready for use. On the vanity there’s plenty of things from an amenity kit.

Whilst you’re at dinner, housekeeping come and have laid out slippers and your bottle water and glass. If you need anything else, you can order easily off the iPad.
Wellness wise, there’s an Auriga spa, heated pool and spa, sauna, steam room and even an “experience shower” where you could shower with water from every angle! Plush towels, environmentally sustainable products and robes to put on after your shower.

The service at the hotel is outstanding and you are greeted by friendly staff at every step of the way. It feels like very personalised service. Every detail of hotel is wonderful; they’ve even got a “Living Room” in the lobby where you can always get complimentary tea, coffee and cookies in a relaxing space. They even did cocktails, wine and canapés in the evening. Staff provided a special Capella made colouring set for our son.

Buffet breakfast is phenomenal with so much food and quality too. If you so prefer, there’s Ala carte. We have previously dined at the on site restaurant Brasserie 1930 and also their cocktail bar, McRae bar. Both were excellent.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and the best part is the A grade service you receive at all times! We loved it 🥰 booked through @apextravelau
