Whenever we travel down the south coast, we always make it a point to drive through the stunning heritage town of Berry. Admittedly it’s mainly for the hot cinnamon donuts, but we love the bakeries, cafes and restaurants, gift stores and markets too. The area is one of those places with quaint houses, lovely gardens and a laid back vibe. With a combo of features such as this, it’s no wonder that it marks the location for the inaugural South Coast Food & Wine Festival. It will be held in the Berry Showgrounds.
The festival will be held from Friday 13 – Sunday 15 September this year.
The event will bring together what the south coast region has to offer. It will showcase numerous events such as cooking classes, demos and tastings from a number of local chefs and producers. There will be a number of pop up stalls and it will also have live music and entertainment to make it a fun atmosphere.
The main event will be a signature long lunch on Saturday 14th September with a six course feast led by Kierrin McKnight, Head chef and owner of Wild Ginger. This will be complemented with local wines and beers.
This will be a not to be missed event, and we recommend getting your tickets soon. Tickets to the Festival cost $28pp and are on sale now at www.southcoastfoodandwinefestival.com.au
