Located in Alexandria, this cafe has a great aesthetic.
From Mitchell Road, you’re met with some bright blue and red graffiti art and a few spots to sit outside. Upon entering, you’re instantly met with a cool artwork of some local streets and a cup of coffee being poured. The pastel colours complement the decor of the tables and chairs and feels very on trend. The cafe itself is warm and comfortable and staff are welcoming.
We visit twice, once for coffee and we return with friends for food. The milk based coffee uses their own roast produced at roastville, a blend which is nice and smooth and we all really like.
They offer single origin espresso, which they rotate their bean used. I also tried a long black.
A few of us have a tea, the earl grey, breakfast tea and masala chai. We enjoy these a lot and they also come in a lovely teapot and cup.
For food, their Charlie Brown bowl might sound simple, but it taste amazing. A bowl of brown rice, tossed with grilled broccoli and sautéed kale and a poached egg. They’ve also got a spiced cauliflower salad and a range of toasties, rolls and sweet treats.
Our party also samples the overnight oats; which are organic apple and cranberry oats, soaked in pear juice, topped with grated pears, poached berries, and coconut yogurt. Super pretty and a light and refreshing meal
The Crumbed Mushroom Muffin was awesome; it’s a crispy panko crumbed mushroom, farm fresh poached egg, haloumi, sauteed spinach & a herb infused sauce, all between a toasted english muffin and it really is the perfect brunch meal.
One of the specials was also ordered; their congee – a delicious bowl of the rice, with nice flavours of ginger and coriander, nicely presented with garnish and a slice of bread.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and certainly will return.
