The Oaks Hotel in Netural Bay is an iconic pub and known for its great atmosphere, food, drink and of course the famous oak tree. It is one of our favourite venues. We’ve been to so many events here, Shakespeare in the pub, cocktail and gin Masterclasses, whisky tastings and wine blending. We always find them to be of great value and love the variety that the venue offers. They’ve opened up a new event, Bottomless Brunch in Alala’s, held every Sunday from 12pm-2pm and what could be a better day spent!
Alala’s is at the back of the hotel, inside, but with access to the garden. This space is a nod to the Oaks’ family owner and late matriarch Alala Thomas. This newly renovated bar and eatery overlooking the old Oak Tree is perfect for an event such as this.
For $65 pp, enjoy a shared banquet with your choice of flowing Rose or White Wine. For an extra $5, you can also include Mimosas and Prosecco, which sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
The shared menu begins with house marinated Toolunka Creek Olives and Jamon Croquettas with mojo rolo, the perfect starters to snack over with your glass of wine. ￼
Followed up by the more substantial plates,
⁃ Asparagus, peas, baked ricotta and lemon Myrtle tartine! Oh how we love lemon Myrtle
⁃ Pumpkin Hummus, zucchini, almonds, piment d’esplette tartine
⁃ Scallops on the shell, chorizo spice, finger lime, lobster oil, fries, celery salt, aioli
These dishes are great pairings for Rose and White wine.
It wouldn’t be a meal without dessert and we love that there’s two options:
⁃ Chocolate crumpet, Pepe saya maple butter, banana, cocoa nibs,
⁃ Original crumpet, coconut sorbet, macerated strawberries (vegan)
