Q dining is one of those venues we return to time and time again for a number of reasons; sophisticated dining space, great views and amazing food and drinks.

If you haven’t been to Q dining before, you can find the restaurant on the second floor of the Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour. Situated on the level below the Pullman’s stunning Hacienda bar. The views here are incredible, your table gets a prime view of Sydney Harbour and the Ferries coming in, as well as views of the iconic Sydney Harbour bridge.

The floor to ceiling glass windows provides natural light into the space. The restaurant feels luxurious and we feel that the colour palette, with its green and peach tones oozes modern sophistication.

Green leather couches, marble tables and wooden chairs all blends nicely. We also love the contrast with the sparkly and enormous pendant lights, such a stunning stylistic feature.
Q dining offers ala carte menus (which we’ve had before) as well as a shared menu. If you’re in a party of 4 or more, then the shared menu is a great option. For $64 per person, it is super reasonable considering the sheer quantity of food that is also high quality on presentation and taste. We booked for a party of 21 for a 60th birthday and it was the ideal venue for us. The shared menu allowed for the party to try a range of different food and we added on the dessert. Everyone cannot stop raving about everything.

The food was incredible, in both presentation and taste. It was extremely good quality, large size and presented like works of art, fine dining at its best. Our menu included the following:
Entrees
Queensland spanner crab rillette with cucumber, dill & linseed cracker

Heirloom beetroot salad with Meredith sheep’s yoghurt, blueberries, mustard dressing

Hawkesbury NSW duck liver mousse with sweet potato crisps & fig-onion jam

Beef tartar with fermented chilli, sweet soy, nashi pear, peanuts & squid ink crackers

Raw yellowfin tuna with salsa macha, fresh cucumber & avocado

Mains
Slow roasted lamb shoulder with chimichurri sauce, green peas, onion & garden salad – seriously amazing – the hugest lamb shoulder, perfectly cooked. This fell of the bone!

Barramundi with pumpkin puree, oyster mushrooms & figs

Garden lettuce with fresh herbs, sherry vinegar & shaved radish
Crispy brussels sprouts with lardon & sour cream
Shoestring fries with sea salt flakes
Oven baked butternut pumpkin, macadamia cream & toasted seeds

Dessert ($10 supplement)
Zokoko chocolate mousse with salted caramel & praline ice cream

Poached rhubarb, vanilla ice cream & strawberries

Caramelised apple tart, honey oat crumble & salted

The chef was superb in his ability to cater for so many people, in addition to other dining parties. The chef also provided especially for my pregnancy dining requirements, and also provided a kids menu for the kids with us.

We found the staff to be outstanding; efficient, helpful and going out of their way to please.
Drinks were also great, especially the cocktails and mocktails made at hacienda.

We can thoroughly recommend this for your next dinner party or event.
