We’ve been to Rocker before, for their bottomless Brunch and really enjoyed it. So we were so pleased to return, and especially to try out their new mains on the winter version of the brunch.

We couldn’t think of much better than a day to enjoy lunch inside a warm restaurant with good food and drinks. Staff are so lovely, welcoming us to the restaurant and to the table, promptly taking our order. There’s a few brunch tables already set into their mimosas and the environment is casual and fun.

We order the $89 bottomless brunch, designed for sharing, which comes with unlimited sparkling, wine (red, white or rose) or mimosas.

We start with a glass of sparking and enjoy a few tasters; the Mount Zero Olives, Iggy’s sourdough and pumpkin hummus. In addition, there’s also burrata, which comes on a pumpkin purée and it’s so creamy, perfect to put on your grilled bread. It’s easy to demolish a lot of this, but don’t go to hard, because you need room for their amazing mains.

The new winter mains are phenomenal. The protein star is roasted free range porchetta, sitting atop a celeriac purée and featuring some shaved fennel and an apple and herb salad. The meat, together with these flavours is superb.

The sides included some delicious honey roasted carrots with browned butter and a sesame crunch, the perfect accompaniment to the porchetta.

The mains come with other sides too, a green salad and super crispy fried potatoes with a malt vinegar salt.

Note you can do some add ons; oysters ($5), flourless chocolate cake (+$6) or optional drinks; margarita or espresso martini (+$10).

Gather together a group (minimum 2 people) for a 2 hour period, from Thursday night to Sunday and book in to try out this new winter brunch offering at Rocker.
